Halifax Memories 2 - Stone Trough / Ramsdens Brewery
Ramsdens Stone Trough Brewery was on the right (circa 1930) before Halifax Building Society. Brewing occurred on this area for 232 years which began in 1735. Brewers have included T Boothroyd and Sons(1818-21), Peter Beck (1837) whom Ramsdens bought it off and was run by Lupton and Charnock(1861-81).
