Halifax Pubs - What about the "WC"

by Olivier Raynaud
(Sedan, France)

Hi, I'm from Sedan in France. I went to visit Halifax in the eigthies and I remember well a pub that was called the "WC", simply because it had been ceated in an ancient public lavatory. I think it was quite closed to Maggie's, on the side of a large square. I went to this pub a couple of times. It was a nice an funny place, but there were no windows. You had to go down some stairs to get in.
Long live to Halifax.
Olivier.
